Astrid replies, "The dragons are going to lay eggs. Isn't that exciting? The Deadly Nadder that just left is Purpkle."

If Astrid had asked that question a few months ago, Gikin would have dismissed her. But since she partnered the Devilish Dervish, she had accepted all dragons. Her partner was formerly Sciyon.
She replies, "Yes. It is exciting. Baby dragons! What could be more fun than baby dragons?"

"Purpkle will come back, will she?" A girl asks, approaching Astrid. Astrid pets her shoulder, "Of course she will return."

Stormfly speaks to Virl, and Gikin wonders what she is telling him. Her daughter looks sadly at the girl standing next to Astrid, and the older Deadly Nadder replies. The younger Deadly Nadder looks at her, then the elder turns around.

Virl responds to the Deadly Nadder, then he looks at Gikin and at Stormfly. Spreading his wings, he flies after Stormfly and her son.

Gikin was shocked to see Virl flying off without her, and questions him, "Virl, where are you going? Are you going to lay eggs too?"

Virl follows Stormfly, as he trusts her. She was older than him and he had been instructed to obey Stormfly, Hookfang, Meatlug, and the twins' dragon.
