Dyre was in a race, and he urged his dragon, Esroh, to run faster. His Energy-Class dragon chirped and increased her speed, yet they still find themselves a dragon's length away from the lead racer.

The rider of the lead dragon looked behind and saw that the Energy-Class dragon was catching up.
"Outshine that racer, boy." The leading rider said. The dragon smiles, and ran faster to be three dragons' length.

Dyre looks ahead and sees that the lead racer was getting ahead of him. Then he looks behind him and sees three racers catching up with him.
"You know how important this is to me, Esroh and my daddy. If daddy cannot get his supply, he will hurt us." The man tells his dragon.

The lead racer activated the Red Thruster Gears and the dragon shot ahead of the other racers. A few minutes later, they crossed the finish line.

Dyre threw up his arms and yelled, "SCALES." He managed to get third place as another dragon raced past him, a Pack-Class dragon.
Sighing, he drove his dragon towards the crew tent.

The leading racer went to Race Marshall Budge and received the prize. After receiving it, the racer returned to the Crew Tent.
"You are getting better with each race, Tanay. No, you have improved a lot." a woman was saying. The racer smiles, "Thanks mother."

A dragon greets Dyre and Erosh. From the expression on his face, the dragon was not pleased with the racers.
"I fail my daddy again, did I not?" Dyre says, sadly. The Tiger dragon gives a mean growl and shove him inside the tent.

Tanay dismounts from his dragon and removes the gears from his dragon. Then his brother helps him to pack up.

"How many times do I have to tell you to take the lead? Are you aware Kid will not pleased with you? If he does not get half of the money from racing, he will not provide for Gertrude. And do you know what this means? If Gertrude cannot get her wants, she will not feed us." A man piped up, as Dyre and Erosh were shoved inside.
Dyre lowered his head and did not argue with his father.

Tanay loaded his dragon into the wagon and Zirconium was hitched onto the wagon. Yanat helped Tanay to mount his dragon, and the three of them returned home.

Dyre's father was angry and he takes Dyre's arm roughly and twisting it. Dyre keeps quiet, knowing silence makes his father happy.

One hour and thirty minutes later, the boys and their mother were having their lunch. They ate in Pizza Hut.

Tann slapped him hard. Then he says, "Pack up and let's go home."
Soon, Dyre had loaded the wagon with the gears and Artie went inside. The man mounted Erosh and the young dragon pulled the wagon away from the tents.

The boys and their mother had ordered BBQ Americano. Tanay fed a slice to his dragon, and Shine ate it. Their starter was Texan BBQ Chicken Wings.
